Dior 2014 Spring Summer Ready-to-Wear

Thank god that we are not fashion buyers for any department stores.  If we were, we would have a very difficult time putting down an order.  We didn't see anything new or really impressive.  Many pieces need major design adjustments to make them ready-to-sell.  There are quite a number of pairs of lovely heels though.

Gucci's Really Boring 2014 Spring/Summer Collection

We had been watching and waiting and waiting for the show to get better, but it never did. It just got more and more boring.  This show is one of the rare ones that made us feel sleepy.  Most of the pieces look like our grandmother's dull and ugly kimono bathrobes.  That one dress that we hoped would wow us never showed up.  While we can see a couple pair of shoes that are nice, but we can't find anything in the entire collection that is inspiring or refreshing. 

Louis Vuitton's Very Gothic Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

What a dramatic runway!  We had to watch the video several times in order to see the clothes clearly.  Whether it's dark fashion or dark drama, the two are integrated in this show.  Despite the darkness and the apparently Halloween inspired theme, there are quite a number of pieces that are impressively beautiful and wearable. 

Chanel 2014 Spring Summer Beautiful Ready-to-Wear

This is such a breathtaking collection that we don't know whether to watch the displayed arts on the walls or the beautiful clothes.  This is one of our most favorite collections in this season. This is in every aspect so very Chanel, the iconic fabrics, the brilliant designs and the eye catching and innovative cutting and workmanship.  We love the show so much that we have to watch it many many times and savor every piece of clothing and wall decor.

Chanel Haute Couture 2014-2015 Fall

It's a great show with inspiring fabrics and embellishments.  But the boxy silhouette and the ugly models cast a dark cloud over  the fancy fabrics and the exquisite embroideries.
